Answer:  The prayer of repentance is a prayer that people pray to God when they  understand that they are a sinner and need a Saviour. just it  reciting the prayer of repentance will do nothing. A sinner's prayer  only has an effect if it honestly reflects what a  person knows, understands and believes about his/her sinfulness and his/her  need for rescue.

The first aspect of a prayer of repentance is realizing that we are all sinners. (Romans 3:10)  proclaims: “It is said in the Books: 'There is none before God'  righteous, really no one.'” The Bible makes it clear that we  all have sinned. We are sinners seeking mercy and forgiveness from  Needing God (Titus 3:5-7). We deserve eternal punishment for our sin (Matthew 25:46).  The prayer of repentance is a plea for mercy; to not be judged  turn into. It is a request for compassion instead of wrath.

The second aspect of a sinner's prayer is the knowledge of what God has  done to remedy our lost and sinful circumstances. God became  a man in the Person of Jesus Christ (John 1:1, 14). Jesus taught us the truth about God and lived a perfectly righteous and sinless life (John 8:46; 2 Corinthians 5:21). Jesus died on the cross in our place. He took the punishment we deserve (Romans 5:8). Jesus rose from the dead to prove that he has conquered sin, death and hell. (Colossians 2:15; 1 Corinthians 15).  And thereby our sins can be forgiven and  us an eternal  be promised home in heaven; all we have to do is in  believe Jesus Christ. All we have to do is believe that  He died in our place and rose from the dead (Romans 10:9-10). We can only be redeemed by grace through our faith in Jesus. (Ephesians 2:8)  declares: “By His grace you were saved, in that you entered into Him.”  to believe. That is not your own merit, but a gift from God.”

Praying the prayer of repentance is simply a way of worshiping God  express your trust in Jesus Christ as your Saviour. There are  no “magic” words that will result in your salvation. only you  faith in the death and resurrection of Jesus can save you. Like you  understand that you are a sinner and need salvation through Jesus Christ  here is a prayer of conversion that you can pray to God: “God, I  know that I am a sinner. I know I'm the consequences of my sins  earn. But I trust in Jesus Christ as my Saviour. I believe  that His death and resurrection provide for my forgiveness. I trust  in Jesus and Jesus alone as my personal Lord and Saviour. Thank you  Lord for Your forgiveness and my salvation! Amen!"

IMPORTANT:

After this choice, it is essential that you be baptized by immersion with water.

 

In addition, asks God to fill you with His Holy Spirit.

 

Let yourself be led by His Spirit (Romans 8:8-9) and surrender yourself completely to Him, every day.

 

Ask God if you may grow closer to Him and love Him more and more each day. That is the first commandment.
